Art can be a powerful medium and it is a way for me to express powerful emotions. My own emotions are often quite torn-- Through art, I try to express the emotions and struggles of individuals--whether those emotions last just a few seconds or a lifetime. I concentrate on the human form because ultimately emotions are naked things and no matter how hard people try to mask them, their bodies will always communicate the truth.My own emotions are often quite torn-- I was a child in the east, but i have lived my adult life in the west. which is my home? which represents my true self? I have come to realize that I must create a third world since both of these different cultures are a part of me and the art that I creat. Balancing the two is my challenge, as is showing the world that it can be done through art.
